February reading list
Novels
Annihilation
Flowers for Algernon
The Forever War
Franny and Zooey
The Hidden Girl and Other Stories
Words cannot describe how excited I am to read the short stories here after watching Pantheon (2022). Such an incredible show with almost frighteningly real parallels to how fast technology is progressing here, particularly with AI. Update: amazing short stories. I liked it a lot.
To the Lighthouse
Train Dreams
I’ll be honest… I saw the movie first (yikes!). Regardless, I had just as well an experience reading the novella as I did watching the movie. What I find most interesting is the portrayl and meaning of the wolf-girl (whether it’s a vision or to be interpreted literally like horror).
